How Much Is NDLEA Training Allowance?

NDLEA which stands for National Drug Law Enforcement Agency is one of the paramilitary organizations in the country and they are charged with the duty of curbing and fighting drug trafficking and abuse.

Many people join the NDLEA using their SSCE, ND, HND, B.Sc, or equivalent certificates. During the training, the trainees are paid allowances to cater to their feeding, accommodation, and other needs; however, the allowance tends to differ, depending on the qualifications you used in enrolling into the agency.

How Much Is NDLEA Training Allowance?

As I stated previously, the NDLEA training allowance tends to differ depending on the qualifications you joined the agency with.

The training allowance is from N15,000 to N25,000 for those who joined the service with SSCE, NCE, or National Diploma. The training allowance is from N25,000 to N45,000 for those who joined the service as graduates. 

It is important to note that joining the NDLEA as a graduate implies that you are a B.Sc or HND holder. B.Sc is offered to those who graduated from a recognized university, while HND is offered by a notable polytechnic.

NDLEA Training Duration

If you joined the NDLEA with SSCE, NCE, or National Diploma, your training duration is for 6 months. While those who joined the service with HND or B.Sc’s training duration lasts from 9 months to a full year. 

Requirements to Join the NDLEA as a Graduate

If you wish to join the NDLEA as a graduate, below are the requirements you would have to fulfill:

1. You must be a citizen of Nigeria.

2. You must be between the age of 18 and 35 years.

3. You must at least graduate with Second Class honours from a recognized institution of study.

4. You must possess a minimum of 5 years work experience. 

5. You must have good leadership and communication skills.

6. You must be good in written and spoken English.

Requirements to Join the NDLEA as an SSCE Holder

  • You must be a citizen of Nigeria.
  • You must be between the age of 18 and 35 years.
  • Your academic qualifications must at least be an SSCE.
  • You must be considered fit physically and mentally. 
  • You must pass a drug test.
  • You must possess a valid ID card.
